Secure Your Snap Ties & Support Your Wales

The Snap Tie Bracket is a key component of single waler concrete formwork. Designed for 4-3/4" L&W snap ties, it features a sliding wedge that compensates for lumber variation and works with both 3/4" and 5/8" plywood. When paired with hex head snap ties, ties break cleanly inside the concrete — reducing stripping time and labor.

Constructed from galvanized steel with a cadmium-plated wedge, this bracket installs horizontally, vertically, or inverted with a 2x4 kicker plate. Nail holes in both the body and wedge provide secure attachment during vibration and stripping.

Backed by our 1-Year Ironclad Warranty - built tough and protected against manufacturing defects under normal use.

Sandbaggy carries a variety of snap ties and accessories.

FAQ

What is a snap tie in construction?

Snap ties are an essential component in formwork for concrete, connecting two distinct surfaces. Made of either plastic or steel, these ties feature a cone-shaped head at one end and a threaded rod on the other. The Jahn A bracket then holds the snap tie in place and also supports the wale or stud.

How do snap ties work?

Snap ties are installed by threading them through form holes, then secured by tightening with a snap tie wedge. This spreads the plastic cones out, locking the forms in place. Once concrete cures, the wedges are removed and cones broken off, freeing the ties from the concrete.
