Reflect More Light to Bifacial Panels

Sandbaggy's 8 oz White Solar Panel Underlay Fabric reflects sunlight toward the underside of bifacial solar panels, helping support increased energy production.

Made from heavy-duty non-woven polypropylene, it provides durable, permeable ground coverage for solar farms and bifacial solar installations.

⚠️ Please Note
  • Designed primarily for use beneath bifacial (double-sided) solar panels.
  • Actual solar performance gains vary based on panel type, installation, sunlight, ground coverage, panel height, and other site conditions.
  • Rolls may be folded or arrive in multiple sections depending on size and shipping requirements.

FAQ

How does white underlay fabric help bifacial solar panels?

The white surface reflects sunlight upward toward the rear side of bifacial panels, allowing the panels to capture light from both sides more effectively.

Does this fabric increase solar panel efficiency?

Reflective ground cover can help increase the amount of light reaching the rear of bifacial solar panels. Actual performance gains vary depending on the solar system, installation, location, and environmental conditions.

Does solar panel underlay fabric help control weeds?

Yes. The heavy-duty fabric creates a ground barrier beneath solar panels that helps suppress weed growth and reduce vegetation maintenance.

Does water drain through the fabric?

Yes. The non-woven fabric is permeable and has a flow rate of 110 GPM per sq ft, allowing water to pass through instead of pooling on the surface.

Assumptions:
  • It takes an average of 600 sandbags to cover a 100 foot section, 1-foot high.
  • Sandbags are being laid length-wise end to end
  • The sandbag wall is 2-3 sandbags wide
  • Sandbag wall is rectangular
