Heavy Duty Fabric for Drainage, Filtration & Long-Term Wall Performance

Sandbaggy 8 oz Non Woven Geotextile Fabric is a heavy duty retaining wall fabric designed for drainage, soil separation, and long-term underground performance. Installed between soil and drainage stone, it allows water to pass through while helping reduce fines from entering gravel backfill zones.

This helps support proper retaining wall drainage and cleaner aggregate layers behind the wall.

Made in the USA from commercial-grade 8 oz polypropylene, this fabric is ideal for residential, commercial, and contractor projects. NTPEP compliant, meets AASHTO standards, and DOT compliant.

Features

  • HELPS WATER DRAIN – High permeability allows water to pass through at up to 110 GPM/ft² to support proper wall drainage.
  • HELPS SEPARATE SOIL FROM STONE – Reduces migration of fines into gravel backfill and drainage zones.
  • HEAVY DUTY 8 OZ FABRIC – Thicker and tougher than many light-duty landscape fabrics.
  • STRONG & DURABLE – Rated for 205 lb tensile strength for demanding installations.
  • FLEXIBLE & EASY TO INSTALL – Conforms to curves, steps, corners, and uneven excavation surfaces.
  • 50+ YEAR BURIED LIFE* – Designed for long-term underground use when buried and protected from UV exposure.
  • MADE IN USA + MEETS INDUSTRY STANDARDS – NTPEP compliant, meets AASHTO standards, DOT compliant.

FAQ

Is non woven or woven fabric better for retaining walls?

Non woven geotextile is commonly preferred when filtration and drainage are priorities because it allows water to pass through while separating soil from aggregate.

Can this be used with perforated drain pipe?

Yes. It is commonly used around drainage stone and perforated pipe systems installed behind retaining walls.

How long will this landscape fabric last underground?

When buried and protected from UV exposure, this fabric can last 50+ years under typical conditions.

Is this strong enough for large walls?

This heavy duty 8 oz landscape fabric is used in many residential and commercial applications. Always follow engineer specifications for structural walls.

*Estimated lifespan when properly buried and protected from direct sunlight. Actual service life depends on site conditions, installation methods, and environment.

Assumptions:
  • It takes an average of 600 sandbags to cover a 100 foot section, 1-foot high.
  • Sandbags are being laid length-wise end to end
  • The sandbag wall is 2-3 sandbags wide
  • Sandbag wall is rectangular
