The "Anti-Wobble" Solution for a Rock-Solid Scaffold Tower

A shaky, unstable scaffold is a serious safety hazard. Our heavy-duty scaffolding cross braces are the most critical component for creating a rigid, stable structure, giving you the confidence to work safely at height.

Engineered from thick 1.5mm galvanized steel, this 4-piece cross brace set squares your tower, eliminates dangerous sway, and is designed for a precise fit on your standard 7' x 4' frames.

Features

  • Ends the Guesswork – Engineered for a Precise Fit: Our cross braces are precision-engineered for all standard scaffolding frames with a 7-foot span and 4-foot locking pin spacing. If your frame's pin-to-pin vertical spacing measures 48 inches, these braces will provide a secure, proper fit.
  • Eliminate Dangerous Wobble: This 4-piece set provides complete X-bracing for one scaffold level, creating the rigid, stable structure needed to work safely and efficiently without unnerving sway.
  • Engineered for a Safer Job Site: A properly braced scaffold is a core requirement for job site safety under OSHA and ANSI guidelines. Our cross braces are engineered from heavy-duty steel to provide the essential stability your system needs to be compliant and secure.
  • Weatherproof Galvanized Steel: Built for a lifetime of use – don't settle for braces that arrive rusted or fail after one season. We use thick, 1.5mm steel with a heavy-duty hot-dip galvanized coating that prevents corrosion.

How to Install

  • Attach First Brace: Working from the inside of the scaffold frames, attach one end of a cross brace to a top locking pin and the other end to the opposite frame's bottom locking pin.
  • Attach Second Brace: Attach the second brace to the remaining open pins, forming an 'X' shape.
  • Repeat on Other Side: Repeat the process on the other side of the scaffold tower using the second pair of braces.
  • Check for Square: Ensure the scaffold is square and that all locking mechanisms are fully engaged.

FAQ

What is the purpose of a cross brace?

The primary purpose of a scaffold cross brace is to ensure the tower is stable, rigid, and safe. By connecting two scaffold frames diagonally, cross braces serve three main functions: they lock the frames together to "square" the tower, they prevent back-and-forth swaying, and they distribute the load across the entire structure.

Does OSHA allow scaffolds to be accessed by cross braces?

No, OSHA explicitly prohibits using scaffold cross braces as a means of access. Climbing the cross braces is a serious safety violation because they are not designed to support a person's weight in that manner.

What other names does this product go by?

This product is also commonly called a cross brace scaffold, scaffolding cross braces, a cross brace stabilizer, or a steel cross brace.

Assumptions:
  • It takes an average of 600 sandbags to cover a 100 foot section, 1-foot high.
  • Sandbags are being laid length-wise end to end
  • The sandbag wall is 2-3 sandbags wide
  • Sandbag wall is rectangular
