Build an Indestructible Gravel Driveway That Lasts a Lifetime

Tired of the endless cycle of filling in muddy ruts and re-grading your gravel driveway? Our 4-inch Geocell is the professional-grade solution for permanent ground stabilization. It's the right tool for the job.

Engineered for heavy loads like trucks and RVs, the 4-inch depth of this gravel grid provides the uncompromising stability you need. Its textured, perforated cells lock in your gravel, prevent it from sinking or washing away, and create a rock-solid foundation that you can depend on for decades.

Please Note*
  • You MUST use 3/4-inch angular crushed stone for fill. DO NOT use smooth, rounded pea gravel or river rock, as this will not lock in place and will lead to an unstable surface.
  • Need the complete system? Sandbaggy also sells high-quality non-woven geotextile fabric.

Features

  • The Professional 4-Inch Depth: Forget shallow grids. The 4-inch cell height is the professional standard for heavy-duty jobs, providing the strength to support trucks, RVs, and equipment without the risk of rutting.
  • Locks Gravel in Place: The honeycomb cells lock your gravel in place, preventing it from sinking into mud or washing away in heavy rain. This protects your investment and saves money on costly replacement gravel.
  • Textured & Perforated for Superior Performance! Textured cell walls create more friction to hold fill material securely, while perforations allow water to drain freely, preventing pressure buildup and washout.
  • Built for a Lifetime of Use: Made from rugged HDPE with maximum UV protection, our geocell grid withstands extreme temperatures and harsh weather without cracking or degrading. Install it once and depend on it for a lifetime.
  • Easily Cuts to Size: Customize the grid to fit your exact project dimensions. The flexible HDPE material is easily cut with heavy-duty shears or a utility knife, perfect for any DIY project.
  • The Secret to Success — A Complete System: Don't risk project failure. For guaranteed results, combine this grid with geotextile fabric and 3/4" angular gravel. This proven three-part system ensures a stable, long-lasting surface.

FAQ

What kind of gravel should I use?

For a stable, long-lasting surface, you must use 3/4-inch angular, crushed stone. Its sharp edges lock together. NEVER use smooth, rounded pea gravel or river rock, as it will shift and feel unstable, even inside the grid.

Do I really need to use geotextile fabric?

Yes, it is absolutely essential. The fabric prevents your expensive gravel from sinking into the soil and stops mud from contaminating your base. Skipping this step is the #1 cause of project failure and will void the long-term stability of your installation.

What's the difference between 2-inch and 4-inch geocell?

The 4-inch depth is the professional standard for any application that needs to support vehicles. While a 2-inch grid may be suitable for a simple walking path, the 4-inch depth is required to provide the necessary load distribution and stability for a driveway, parking pad, or shed foundation.

What other names does this product go by?

This product is also commonly known as a ground grid, gravel grid, geo grid, gravel stabilizer, and a cellular confinement system.
