FAQ

How many nails per box?

Our Round Metal Cap Nails come in 1 lb. bags of approximately 75 nails. For box quantities, there are 50 bags per box, thus approximately 3,750 nails.

How To Remove Masonry Nails?

  1. Chisel around Nail - To effectively remove masonry nails from concrete, brick, or mortar, a sturdy air chisel may be necessary. Carefully grabbing the chisel and focusing on the nail head, skillfully chip away at the surrounding concrete for best results.
  2. Use Pry Bar: For increased leverage, consider using a pry bar with a claw on one end instead of a regular hammer. Position the claw beneath the nail's head and gradually apply pressure to pry the nail from the masonry.

Hot Dipped Galvanized vs Electro Galvanized Steel

In short hot dipped galvanized steel offers more rust protection, while electro galvanized steel has a smoother finish and is better for applications requiring tight tolerances

  1. Hot-dipped galvanized steel is dipped into a vat of molten zinc, which coats the steel, resulting in a strong, thick, dull gray finish that lasts 20-50 years. Often used for building materials designed for structural support.
  2. Electro-galvanized steel is coated with a layer of zinc through an electrically charged solution, resulting in a relatively thin zinc layer and a smooth finish. Often the preferred choice for applications that demand tight tolerances, wires, or small parts found in appliances.
