FAQ's
What's the difference between woven and non-woven fabric?
Woven fabric is great for weed control but doesn’t allow water to pass through easily. Non-woven fabric blocks weeds and allows water to drain, making it ideal for gardens or areas where proper drainage is important.
The way to decide is to ask yourself this question: do you want water to permeate through the fabric? If yes, choose Non Woven. If it does not matter, choose Woven (less expensive).
Can I use landscape fabric under mulch or rocks?
Yes! You can use both the woven and non woven fabrics under rocks and mulch, you can use the paper fabric under rocks but just keep in mind it is not as strong or as long lasting as the other options.
Safe For Organic Farming / Gardening?
Yes, all our fabrics are safe for organic farming and gardening.
Which fabric should I use for vegetable gardens?
We recommend non-woven fabric for vegetable gardens—it allows water and air through while still blocking weeds.
Our paper fabric is also a great option! Since it natrually biodegrades, it will enrich the soil and become mulch.
Is the biodegradable option compostable or safe for organic gardens?
Yes, our biodegradable paper is fully compostable and safe for organic use. It's made with no plastic and breaks down into natural materials.
Do I need landscape staples or pins?
Yes, we recommend securing your fabric with landscape staples every 1–2 feet along the edges and seams to prevent shifting. We recommend using our 6-inch heavy duty staples
Can I cut the fabric to fit my space?
Absolutely. All of our fabrics can be cut with scissors or a utility knife to fit your specific project.
