The Confined Space Compliance Solution

Stop trying to make standard 19-inch planks work on your 6-foot rolling or baker scaffold. They leave dangerous, non-compliant gaps that violate OSHA's "fully planked" rule. Our 15.5-inch wide scaffold plank is the professional solution, precision-engineered for a perfect, gap-free fit.

Engineered from heavy-duty, hot-dip galvanized steel, this metal plank provides a rock-solid, all-weather work surface you can trust. Use two planks side-by-side to create a truly solid platform, ensuring maximum safety and compliance on every job.

Features

  • The Perfect Fit for 6' Rolling Scaffolds: This plank is not a repurposed standard size. Its 74-inch length is specifically engineered to securely fit the 72-inch span of a 6-foot narrow-frame scaffold, providing a safe and stable fit.
  • Achieve a Truly 'Fully Planked' Platform: Don't risk a violation. OSHA requires scaffold platforms to be fully decked with no gaps wider than 1 inch. Using two of our 15.5" planks on a narrow frame creates a solid 31" wide surface, eliminating the dangerous gap left by a single 19" plank.
  • Solid Steel for a Rock-Solid Feel: Feel the difference of a steel plank. The solid steel construction adds stabilizing weight to your tower, reducing wobble and providing a rigid, zero-flex work surface that inspires confidence when you're working at height.
  • All-Weather Galvanized Durability: Forget about wood rot or delaminating plywood. This steel scaffold plank is hot-dip galvanized for superior rust and corrosion resistance, ensuring a long service life on any job site, indoors or out.
  • Heavy-Duty Locking Hooks: Three wide, replaceable hooks on each end are designed to securely engage the scaffold frame. When combined with the integrated wind latches, this plank stays locked in place.

FAQ

What are the minimum and maximum distances that a scaffold plank should span?

This specific plank is 74 inches long and is designed only for a scaffold with a 72-inch (6-foot) span between the frames. Using it on a shorter or longer span is extremely dangerous and will result in an improper, unsafe fit.

Will this fit my 7-foot or 10-foot scaffold?

No. This plank is too short for a 7-foot or 10-foot scaffold and would create a severe fall hazard. It is engineered exclusively for 6-foot span rolling scaffolds.

Why use two of these instead of one 19-inch plank?

To be OSHA compliant. On a narrow scaffold, a single 19-inch plank leaves a large, dangerous gap. OSHA's "fully planked" rule requires a solid platform. Using two of our 15.5-inch planks creates a 31-inch wide, gap-free surface that is safer and meets regulatory standards.

What other names does this product go by?

This product is also commonly called a metal plank, steel scaffold plank, walk board, or a scaffold platform deck.
