Control Weeds And Protect Your Plants From The Sun!
Black landscape fabric can increase soil temperatures by up to 5 degrees F°, which could kill plants in high heat areas such as Central California and Florida. That’s why we recommend using our Orange Landscape Fabric instead!
It’s the best weed barrier fabric for gardening and farming, since the orange color reflects sun rays and reduces soil temperatures. This also assists in retaining the moisture of the soil.
This landscape fabric is a woven ground cover manufactured with tough woven polypropylene and meets or exceeds DOT standards. This fabric has at least 135 lbs of tensile strength, is UV resistant, and permeable. It is great for applications such as erosion control, retaining walls, silt fences, gardening, soil and road stabilization, and so much more!

Description
This orange color landscape fabric will help you get your landscaping job done, with a choice of lengths from 100 to 500 feet.
Don't believe competitors' long life spans
Competitors will advertise that their landscape fabric lasts several years or longer. Usually, these numbers are unsubstantiated and misleading.
Depending on which part of the country you're in, the environment can be completely different, with large variations in weather and climate.
The fabric's lifespan will differ materially depending on the temperature. How is it possible that fabric can last 20 years in the outdoors?
Fabric can never stop all weeds
Other competitors claim that no weeds can grow through their 'heavy duty' weed barrier fabric. This is false advertising.
No matter how thick the weed barrier fabric is, certain weeds are still strong enough to break through the fabric. Our recommendation is to use herbicides to kill the weeds or pull them out by hand when they grow through.
Comparison chart of Sandbaggy's ground cover and competitors'
Sandbaggy's orange ground cover has built-in UV protection, is made from 100% virgin resin to provide additional strength, is laboratory tested to meet ASTM test methods, and has undergone pre-shipment inspection for irregularities.
Installation: How to Lay Weed Barrier Fabric
When installing this landscape fabric, use a rubber mallet and gloves. Install staples 2-4 feet apart for secure fabric installation. Softer soils will require additional staples.
Under Gravel
When installing weed barrier fabric under gravel, first clear the area of trash/sticks/rocks and etc. Then rake the area so it is as flat as possible. Once done, then roll out the landscape fabric and secure with landscape staples every 3-5 feet.
On Top Of Soil
Sandbaggy Landscape Fabric can be installed right on top of soil. If you have a thick layer of soil, we recommend using 9 inch or 12 inch landscape staples so the weed barrier fabric is securely fastened into the ground and cannot be moved.
Around Plants
Sandbaggy Landscape Fabric works great around plants as well. All you need to do is use a pair of scissors and cut an 'X' on the fabric where you want to place the plant.
FAQ
Is a weed barrier worth it?
Yes. Weed Barrier Fabrics are worth the money because they save the homeowner or property manager time from constantly removing weeds. In addition, if the homeowner is putting down gravel, adding a layer of landscape fabric not only stops weeds but separates the gravel with the dirt beneath. This keeps the gravel clean and free of dirt and creates a more beautiful landscape.
