FAQ

Can I splice wires inside this conduit body?

Yes. According to NEC 314.16, a conduit body can be used for splices if it is marked with its cubic inch capacity. This body has a 7.2 cu. in. capacity and is suitable for splices, provided wire fill calculations are followed.

What is the maximum number and size of wires this can hold?

This conduit body is designed for a maximum of three #6 AWG conductors. For installations requiring more or larger conductors, like some hot tub circuits, you must use a larger conduit body with reducing bushings to meet NEC requirements.

Is this for indoor or outdoor use?

This product is made from corrosion-resistant, copper-free aluminium, making it suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

What is the difference between this EMT body and a "Rigid" LB body?

This body uses set screws for a fast connection to unthreaded EMT (thin-wall) conduit. A "Rigid" or "RMC" body has threaded hubs for use with heavier, thick-walled conduit. The two types are not interchangeable.
