Bane

Bane was a punk band that started in 1995, whose members included drummer Bob Mahoney, singer Aaron Bedard, guitarist Zach Jordan, guitarist Aaron Dalbec, and bassist Brendan Maguire.

Bane originated in Worcester, Massachusetts.

They released several songs, EPs, and albums. Bane performed in North America, Europe, and Japan.

In 2014, Bane performed in Burlington, Vermont, the city where Bernie Sanders was mayor from 1981 to 1989. (Their performance is advertised in this above promotional flyer).

The same year, they released their final album.

The band was active until 2016, performing for the last time in Worcester, MA in June of that year.

242 Main

The water department of Burlington, Vermont was once located at 242 Main Street.

It was converted into a youth center and music venue by Bernie Sanders' wife Jane.

The first year, a battle of the bands was held. The event is still held annually to this day.

242 Main had a huge impact on the Burlington music scene. Musicians in the area all played there at some point in their careers.
